MIKE URBAN+ is an integrated, GIS-centric platform for modeling, analyzing, and optimizing urban water systems. It unifies tools for wastewater and stormwater collection networks, overland flooding, and potable water distribution in one environment, helping engineers and planners build network models, run simulations, compare scenarios, and support both long-term planning and daily operations.

Key capabilities include:

  • Hydraulic and hydrologic simulation of collection systems (1D) with optional 2D surface flooding, rainfall–runoff, and water quality/transport analyses.
  • Water distribution modeling for pressure management, fire flow, water age/chlorine, and demand scenarios.
  • Robust GIS-based data management, network editing, scenario management, and results visualization through maps, graphs, and reports.
  • Calibration, optimization, and what‑if analysis, with support for real-time control elements.
  • Data exchange with common industry formats and GIS platforms, scripting/API options for automation, and integration with real-time forecasting and decision support workflows.

Typical uses include master planning, capacity assessment, flood risk analysis and mitigation, green infrastructure evaluation, rehabilitation planning, and operational optimization.

DHI MIKE URBAN+ is developed by DHI. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 17.1, 18.0 and 18.1. The name of the program executable file is DHI.Amelia.Shell.exe.
